The psychoeducation programme for parents of people with ASD started in the framework of the Erasmus+ IPAT- Integrative Parents’ Autism Training project coordinated by the Centre for Children and Adolescents. The first of the 8 three-hour meetings took place on Saturday 9 March 2022 online, with the participation of a group of 20 parents from different regions of Greece. The psychoeducation programme was launched in parallel in the partner countries of the Programme, with groups of parents in Spain, Italy and Turkey. IPAT aims to develop a psychoeducation package for parents of people with autism and a digital self-education tool for the same population, using the data from the literature and the expressed needs of parents, as recorded during the project.
